You thought he came to attack her... you were wrong. 😱 What Clara found on that desk was only the beginning of the truth behind Room 402. Watch Part 2 to uncover the horrifying secret the hospital tried to bury!

The fluorescent lights above the nursing station flickered with a low, rhythmic hum, casting long, erratic shadows down the empty, darkened corridor. Nurse Clara held the phone tightly against her ear, her knuckles turning stark white as her trembling fingers pressed the receiver closer.

"Hello? Hello? Is anyone there?" she whispered into the receiver, her voice cracking with escalating panic. "Something is wrong with Room 402 again!"

Silence stretched across the line—only the hollow static of a dead connection answered her. Farther down the hallway, the swing doors of Room 402 slid open without a sound. A towering figure in a white hospital gown stepped slowly into the dim light. His eyes were hollow, staring straight ahead, and his barefoot footsteps made no sound against the cold linoleum floor as he moved towards her with unnatural, fluid mechanical movements.

Clara gasped, dropping the phone onto the desk. Her breath hitched in her throat as terror seized her whole body.

"No... it can't be..." she stammered, backing away until her chair hit the desk behind her. "That patient... he just passed away an hour ago!"

Desperate for cover, Clara ducked behind the nursing counter, curling into a tight ball, holding her breath while pressing both hands tightly against her mouth. She closed her eyes, praying that the shadow looming closer would simply pass by.

Through the gaps in the front desk desk panel, she watched the pale, bare feet halt just inches away from her desk. The air in the reception area suddenly plummeted in temperature; her breath turned into white mist in the dim light. A quiet, raspy exhalation echoed right above her desk.

Then, the static from the hanging telephone receiver abruptly cleared. A quiet, distortion-laden voice drifted out from the speaker, repeating the words Clara had just spoken into it: "Hello? Hello? Is anyone there?..."

Slowly, the figure bent over the counter, its sunken eyes staring straight down into Clara's hiding spot. It didn't reach for her, nor did it scream. Instead, it reached out a pale, trembling hand toward the desk phone, lifted the receiver, and placed it back onto its cradle, cutting off the recorded loop of her own desperate voice.

The patient looked down at Clara with a faint, sorrowful smile, his lips moving silently with three simple words before his image began to shimmer like a broken signal: "Thank you, Clara."

In an instant, the lingering chill vanished, the flickering lights overhead stabilized into a bright, steady glow, and the corridor fell completely still. Clara slowly stood up, her heart pounding against her ribs, only to find the hallway completely vacant. On the counter lay the patient's ID bracelet—the same one she had personally removed an hour before—now neatly left right beside the phone.

He hadn't come back to haunt her; he had only returned to answer the call that no one else had answered.
