SCENE START

INT. LUXURY DINING ROOM - CONTINUOUS

MARCUS (30s) slowly lowers his gaze from the flashing red light of the CCTV camera back to the woman in the burgundy dress. His panicked expression abruptly hardens into cold, terrifying composure.

The audio strain PEAKS and SNAP-CUTS to absolute silence, save for the faint, agonizing groans of the pregnant woman on the floor.

BURGUNDY DRESS WOMAN (Sobbing dramatically, reaching for Marcus) Marcus, please! She lost her mind! I was just trying to defend myself!

Marcus doesn't take her hand. Instead, he steps past her, his shiny leather shoes crunching deliberately over the shattered glass.

He kneels right beside the pregnant woman, gently sliding his hand under her head to support her.

MARCUS (Softly, voice trembling) I'm right here. Don't move.

PREGNANT WOMAN (Gasping, tears streaming) The baby... Marcus, the baby...

MARCUS (To the pregnant woman) Shh, stay still. I've got you.

Marcus looks up at the Burgundy Dress Woman. His blue eyes are pure ice.

BURGUNDY DRESS WOMAN (Backing away slightly, voice wavering) Why are you looking at me like that? I’m the victim here!

MARCUS (Slightly tilting his head toward the ceiling) That camera streams directly to my phone, Victoria. Every single second. Live.

Victoria’s fake sobbing abruptly stops. The color completely drains from her face.

MARCUS (CONT'D) I saw you push her.

VICTORIA (Stammering, horrified) Marcus... I... I didn't mean to—

MARCUS (Shouting, voice echoing through the mansion) GREG! CALL AN AMBULANCE NOW! AND LOCK THE MAIN GATES!

From the hallway, the head butler, GREG, rushes past the open doors with a phone pressed to his ear.

MARCUS (CONT'D) (Turning back to Victoria, deadpan) You're going to prison, Victoria. If anything happens to my child, you won't live to see the trial.

Victoria stumbles backward in total panic, her heels slipping on a piece of broken glass. She falls heavily onto her knees, looking up in sheer terror.

Marcus gently lifts the pregnant woman into his arms, keeping her cradled safely as distant ambulance sirens begin to echo through the night.
