What happened? Come here to find out more.

Eleanor’s trembling fingers break the red wax seal beside the quiet hum of a heart monitor. Margaret lies pale and motionless on the hospital bed, an oxygen mask over her face.

Oliver sits on the edge of the bed, gently holding Margaret's limp hand.

[CAMERA QUICK-PAN TO ELEANOR]

Eleanor unfolds the old, yellowed hospital birth record hidden inside the envelope. Her eyes widen as she reads the line marked Child’s Adoptive Placement.

ELEANOR

(Voice cracking, breathless)

The baby didn't die... They took her newborn and placed her directly into an illegal adoption agency...

Oliver looks up at Eleanor, his gray-blue eyes filled with innocence.

OLIVER

Mommy kept the paper... She said the doctor gave the baby to a woman who worked for you.

Eleanor's phone vibrates in her coat pocket. She pulls it out and answers on speaker. It's Owen, her head of security.

OWEN (V.O.)

(Through phone)

Mrs. Whitmore, we apprehended Charles at the docks. He confessed... Your father and Charles didn't just hide Margaret. They gave her baby girl to your personal assistant thirty years ago to keep the secret buried.

Eleanor's breath catches in her throat. Her mind races to the woman who has managed her entire life for three decades—Sarah, who sits waiting at her estate right now.

ELEANOR

(To the phone, voice trembling with rage and heartbreak)

Sarah... Her daughter, Claire... Claire was Margaret’s baby.

[CAMERA ANGLE: WIDE SHOT - THE HOSPITAL ROOM]

The heart monitor suddenly beeps faster. Margaret's eyelids flutter open slowly. She looks past the IV lines and sees Eleanor holding Oliver's hand.

MARGARET

(Voice barely a whisper behind the mask)

Mother...? You... you found Oliver...

Eleanor drops to her knees beside the bed, tears streaming down her face as she buries her face in Margaret’s hand, clutching both her long-lost daughter and the young boy who brought them together.

ELEANOR

I'm so sorry, Margaret... I know everything now. I'm taking you both home.

The rain taps gently against the hospital window as the monitor stabilizes, reflecting the warm embrace of a broken family finally reunited.
