There is a sequel here.
[SCENE START]
INT. JUDGE ELEANOR'S PRIVATE CHAMBERS - CONTINUOUS
NAOMI places the tablet on the oak desk, tapping a dimly lit black-and-white scan.
NAOMI
Most records were destroyed, but Dr. Adrian Cole’s private archival vault had one sealed file saved under your maiden name.
JUDGE ELEANOR
(hands trembling, leaning over the desk)
What does it say?
NAOMI
In 1970, when you were twenty-two, you were admitted to St. Anne’s after a car accident. You were in a coma for two weeks. Your parents told you that you suffered a spinal trauma... but the medical log shows you were eight months pregnant. Dr. Cole’s father delivered a baby girl while you were unconscious. Your parents paid him to falsify adoption papers and tell you the baby died.
Judge Eleanor grips the edge of her desk as heavy tears spill past her lashes.
JUDGE ELEANOR
(voice cracking)
My daughter... Sarah...
NAOMI
She wasn't dead. Dr. Cole kept those records to blackmail your family for decades. And five years ago, Sarah discovered the truth. She didn't die of surgical complications, Judge—Dr. Adrian Cole kept her in an illegal, off-grid medical trial to harvest nerve-regeneration therapy... derived from your family's rare genetic bloodline.
Eleanor’s head snaps up, her eyes burning with fierce, cold fury.
JUDGE ELEANOR
Cole didn't just attack Michael. Michael was framed because Sarah tried to escape with the files!
INT. COURTROOM - LATER
The heavy doors swing open. Eleanor glides her wheelchair back to the bench. MICHAEL stands at the defense table, his handcuffs clicking softly. LILY sits in the front row, watching wide-eyed.
PROSECUTOR
Your Honor, we must finalize sentencing—
JUDGE ELEANOR
(slamming her gavel)
Silence! On the authority of this court, all charges against Michael Turner are dismissed with prejudice.
The courtroom gasps. Michael drops to his knees, clutching his face in sheer disbelief.
JUDGE ELEANOR (CONT'D)
Warrants have just been issued for Dr. Adrian Cole for human trafficking, medical fraud, and framing an innocent man.
Eleanor wheels herself down the side ramp—the first time in twelve years she has left her elevated bench during a session. She stops directly in front of Michael and Lily.
Michael looks up, tears streaming down his face.
MICHAEL
Sarah... she knew?
JUDGE ELEANOR
She saved us all, Michael. And so did your daughter.
Lily steps forward, reaching out her tiny hands. She places a small, clear glass vial containing experimental nerve-regen serum—stolen from Cole's folder—into Eleanor's palm.
LILY
(smiling warmly)
Mommy said this was the medicine Dr. Cole took from you. She said it would make your legs work again so you could walk me home.
Eleanor chokes back a sob, pulling the little girl into a tight, fierce embrace as Michael wraps his arms around them both.
CAMERA SLOWLY PULLS BACK through the sunlit courtroom, framing the three of them finally reunited in truth and justice.
