The hidden truth changes everything. Watch Part 2 to discover how the story ends!

You think you can just come in here after what you did?

Eliza’s voice hissed through the grand marble hall of the estate, sharp and cutting like broken glass.

Dressed in a plunging, emerald-green velvet gown with sparkling teardrop earrings, Eliza looked every bit the ruthless socialite who ruled the household with absolute authority. Standing before her was an elderly woman in a worn grey coat, clutching a crying young girl in a white dress to her side.

Before the old woman could speak, Eliza lunged forward, shoving her violently. The elderly woman stumbled backward onto the checkered marble floor with a heavy thud, gasping as the little girl clung to her waist in terror.

Please, Eliza, the old woman pleaded, her hands trembling as she looked up from the floor. I had no choice...

Eliza sneered, stepping over her with cold contempt, entirely unbothered by the frail woman’s tears.

As the old woman hit the ground, a heavy golden pocket watch slipped from her coat pocket, skittering across the smooth marble floor before springing open.

The gold locket settled right beneath the light, revealing two identical vintage black-and-white photographs fitted inside both lids—a portrait of a young girl with bright eyes and a soft, sweet smile.

The elderly woman reached out with a trembling hand, picking up the open locket to hold it toward the light.

Eliza glanced down, expecting to see worthless trash. But as her eyes focused on the photograph inside the locket, the arrogance on her face instantly shattered.

She froze mid-step. Her breath hitched in her throat, and her hands rose to cover her mouth in absolute shock.

No... Eliza whispered, her voice cracking as tears filled her eyes. It can’t be...

The picture inside the locket was a portrait of Eliza herself as an orphaned child—the very photograph given to the mother who had been forced to surrender her decades ago.

The frail, ragged woman she had just humiliated and shoved to the floor wasn’t a trespasser or a beggar. She was the mother who had spent her entire life searching for her lost daughter, carrying the locket as her only precious clue.

Eliza dropped to her knees on the marble floor, her emerald gown pooling around her as the heavy weight of her cruel actions crashed down upon her conscience.

Forgive me... Eliza sobbed, reaching out to touch her mother's hand.

The elderly woman simply pulled her daughter into a warm, forgiving embrace, proving that maternal love endures through decades of hardship, and that true dignity shines brightest even when surrounded by the cold, arrogant walls of wealth.
