[SCENE START]

INT. WINTER GARDEN - CONTINUOUS

The maid stands frozen under the rain-streaked glass ceiling. Her hands tremble against her apron.

MAID

(voice barely a whisper)

I'm... Clara. The new housemaid, sir. Please... don't hurt my children.

CALEB

(eyes fixed on her face, breathing heavily)

Clara... Or Clara's sister? You have Audrey's eyes.

CLARA

(tears welling up)

Audrey was my twin sister, Mr. Marino.

Caleb’s knuckles turn white as he grips his wheelchair.

CALEB

Audrey died eight years ago in that explosion. She lost the baby.

CLARA

She didn't die in the explosion!

The guards shift uncomfortably. Caleb's second-in-command, MARCO (50s, sharp suit), steps forward nervously.

MARCO

Boss, she's lying. She's crazy. Guards, get them out of here—

CALEB

(roaring)

STAND DOWN!

The room goes dead silent. Caleb turns back to Clara, his voice dangerously soft.

CALEB (CONT'D)

Speak. Now.

CLARA

Audrey survived the blast. She was alive when they brought her to the clinic. She gave birth to Lily right before she passed... but Marco paid the doctors to tell you both she and the baby died! He forced me to sign non-disclosure agreements and threatened to kill the baby if I ever spoke!

Caleb’s gaze shifts slowly toward Marco. Marco's face drains of color as he reaches for his holster.

MARCO

Boss, listen to me, she's trying to frame me—

Before Marco can draw his gun, Caleb forces himself upright. His legs shake violently, but he STANDS on his own two feet for the first time in eight years.

He grabs Marco's wrist, disarming him with brutal, practiced speed, and drives Marco to the marble floor.

CALEB

(pressing his shoe onto Marco's chest, voice trembling with rage)

Eight years... You stole my wife's final hours. You stole my daughter's entire life. You drugged me to keep me paralyzed so you could run my empire!

MARCO

(gasping for air)

Caleb... please...

CALEB

Lock him in the vault. He will answer for every second I lost.

Two GUARDS immediately grab Marco and drag him away, screaming.

Caleb turns around. His legs give out from exhaustion, but before he falls, he lowers himself onto one knee on the cold marble. He looks at Lily, then up at Clara.

LILY

(squinting at him, smiling)

See? I told you that you weren't dead inside.

Tears finally break through Caleb's icy composure. He opens his arms wide.

CALEB

(choked up)

Come here, Lily.

Lily runs across the floor and leaps into his arms. Caleb wraps his arms tightly around his daughter, burying his face in her hair as Clara steps forward, joining them in the warm embrace.

CAMERA SLOWLY PULLS UP toward the glass ceiling as rain pours down over the winter garden, leaving Caleb reunited with the daughter he never knew he had.

[FADE TO BLACK]
