The man froze when the little boy reached toward the blue necklace.

The boy's eyes widened.

He had seen it before.

Not in this box.

In a distant, blurred memory, a woman had been wearing that exact necklace. A gentle hand had once touched his hair. A warm embrace had once held him tightly.

Then the memory disappeared.

The man stared at the boy.

"Where have you seen it?"

The boy shook his head.

"I don't remember."

The man slowly removed the necklace from the box.

Then, beneath the red velvet lining, he discovered a hidden compartment.

Inside was an old photograph and a yellowed letter.

He picked up the photograph.

His entire body went still.

It showed a young woman holding a baby.

Around her neck was the exact same blue necklace.

The man slowly looked at the boy.

His expression had changed.

There was no confidence left.

Only fear.

The boy stared at the photograph.

"Who is she?"

The man said nothing.

The boy stepped closer.

"You know her, don't you?"

The man's hands began to tremble.

He opened the old letter.

After reading only the first few lines, his face turned completely pale.

He looked at the boy.

Then back at the photograph.

The boy whispered,

"Is she my mother?"

The man remained silent.

A tear rolled down the boy's cheek.

The man quickly folded the letter.

But it was too late.

The boy had already seen the final sentence.

"Never let the boy discover the truth about his father."

The boy stood completely still.

The man looked at him.

For the first time, he realized the secret had been exposed.

And the person he feared most was not his family.

It was the woman in the photograph.

Because if she was still alive...

everything they had hidden for years was about to be revealed.
