The neon lights of the city street flickered against the damp, rain-slicked pavement. A magician, clad in a top hat and a frayed tailcoat, stood in front of a gathered crowd, his face twisted in a mixture of anger and dramatic flair. He screamed, pointing a finger at a young woman wearing a white t-shirt, jeans, and a backpack.

"Take your tricks and get out of here!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the alley.

The woman wiped her forehead, her expression calm despite the magician's outburst. She gave a subtle salute before turning to walk away into the shadowy night.

Seeing her surrender, the magician threw his head back and burst into maniacal laughter, triumphant in his public spectacle. But his victory was short-lived. A imposing figure stepped out from the shadows—a tall man in a sleek black suit and dark sunglasses. The bodyguard placed a heavy, firm hand on the magician’s shoulder, instantly cutting off the laughter.

"Stop," the bodyguard commanded, his voice cold and authoratative. He pointed toward the departing woman. "She is the Director."

A sudden wave of dread washed over the magician. The arrogant smile vanished from his face, replaced by absolute shock and trembling fear. The young woman he had just humiliated wasn't an amateur street performer after all—she was the mastermind behind the entire international entertainment syndicate, scouting talent incognito.

Panicking, the magician spun around and chased after her, his top hat nearly falling off as he stumbled over his own feet.

"Wait! Please, Director!" he pleaded, his voice cracking with desperation. "I didn't know! It was just part of the act—a misunderstanding!"

The woman stopped in her tracks and slowly turned back to face him. The subtle, confident smile on her face told him everything he needed to know. She had tested his character, and he had failed miserably. She tilted her head slightly, offered one final crisp salute, and disappeared into the waiting black limousine at the end of the street, leaving the ruined magician alone in the rain with nothing left but his empty tricks.
