Here is a dramatic conclusion
Adrian took a slow step forward, his voice barely above a whisper. "What else did she tell you, Lily?"
"She told me to keep it safe," Lily sobbed, her hands trembling around the black oval pendant. "She said if anything happened to her... it meant someone close to her had finally made their move. She warned me that the person who tried to destroy her would come after you next."
A sharp gasp echoed through the silent ballroom. Camille’s face drained of color as she instinctively took a step back, her tight grip on the riding crop loosening.
"She's lying, Adrian!" Camille’s voice cracked with sudden desperation. "She's trying to frame me! Look at her—she’s just a maid!"
Adrian didn’t look at Camille. His eyes remained locked on the pendant. He reached out and gently pressed the small, hidden latch on its side—a secret mechanism only his mother and he knew about.
Click.
The pendant sprang open. Inside was not a precious stone, but a tiny, silver micro SD card.
The room fell into dead silence. Adrian turned slowly toward Camille, his gaze cold enough to freeze the room.
"My mother didn't die of heart failure, did she, Camille?" Adrian’s voice was lethal, low and calm. "And you weren't trying to stop a thief just now... you were trying to kill the only witness who held the evidence."
Camille dropped the riding crop. It clattered against the marble floor, shattering the quiet. Before she could run, two heavy security guards blocked the grand exit.
Adrian gently helped Lily to her feet, placing his hand on her shoulder. "Thank you for keeping your promise to her. Now, it's time I keep mine."
