ELEANOR remains on her knees, clutching the emerald necklace against her chest as tears stream down her face.

LIAM holds EVELYN close, shielding her from his mother, his expression a mix of anger and confusion.

LIAM

Mom! What are you talking about? Evelyn grew up in an orphanage! Her family is gone!

ELEANOR

(Looking up at Evelyn, voice trembling)

Eleanor looks up, noticing for the first time a small crescent-shaped birthmark on Evelyn’s collarbone—uncovered now that the dress neckline was torn.

ELEANOR

(Gasping through tears)

The crescent mark... It’s you... You’re my Sophia!

SCENE 2: THE SCHEME COLLAPSES

ARTHUR (60s, sharply dressed in a tuxedo) pushes his way through the stunned wedding guests, panic written all over his face.

ARTHUR

Eleanor! Stop this scene at once! You’re humiliating our family in front of high society! The girl is a nobody trying to leech off our fortune!

Liam steps in front of Arthur, his jaw set in a hard line.

LIAM

Shut up, Uncle Arthur!

Eleanor slowly stands up, her tears turning into cold, unyielding steel. She turns her gaze toward Arthur.

ELEANOR

Twenty-four years ago, you were the manager of our estate. You told me my baby died in a kidnapping attempt... so that your son would inherit the family empire instead.

ARTHUR

(Sweating, stammering)

That’s insane! You’ve lost your mind!

ELEANOR

I kept the original jeweler’s registry. Only ONE necklace was ever made. You paid off the nanny, didn't you?

Before Arthur can respond, TWO UNIFORMED OFFICERS step out from the grand entrance, approaching Arthur from behind.

OFFICER

Arthur Vance? We have a warrant for your arrest based on financial fraud and kidnapping charges opened by the state prosecutor.

Arthur’s face turns pale as the officers place him in handcuffs, leading him away amidst the gasps and camera flashes of the wedding guests.

SCENE 3: A NEW BEGINNING
INT. BALLROOM ALCOVE - SUNSET

The chaos of the ballroom has settled into a quiet, warm atmosphere as golden light streams through the tall arched windows.

Eleanor carefully places the green emerald necklace back around Evelyn’s neck, fastening the clasp with utmost tenderness.

ELEANOR

I spent twenty-four years judging people by their status, letting bitterness blind me... and all along, my own blood was right in front of me. Can you ever forgive me?

Evelyn places her hand over Eleanor’s, tears slipping down her cheeks with a gentle smile.

EVELYN

I didn't lose a mother today... I found two.

Liam steps up, wrapping his arms around both of them.

LIAM

So... does this mean the wedding is back on?

Eleanor laughs softly through her tears, hugging Evelyn tightly as the family stands reunited under the warm glow of the chandeliers.
